Extremely impressed with the level of service I experienced ordering from House of Portmeirion recently. Firstly, the staff were really helpful on the phone prior to the order, double checking quickly that everything was in stock before I ordered and even pushing to get the tea set I ordered wrapped and sent with the courier the same day despite it being quite late. The price was fantastic too - cheaper than anywhere else on the web.Unfortunately in my case the package was lost by the courier (outside of House of Portmerion's control), but the way this was dealt with by the company really highlighted their commitment to service. Staff were practical, organised and generous in making sure this was followed up effectively and made special arrangements to ultimately ensure I was able to get the tea set in time for the time I needed to give it as a gift. Communication was excellent throughout and I felt really well looked after. In the end after exhausting other options I had to buy the set elsewhere, but staff were very understanding and refunded me without question.So in short, would really recommend them and look forward to shopping again. After all, the most important part of customer service is something you (hopefully!) don't experience too often - how you're treated when something goes wrong. It's always great to be confident you're in safe hands.
Fantastic communication from the start. Super fast delivery- loved the recycled packaging we now have plenty of fuel for our log burner. Looking forward to visiting the shop in the future. Great prices if, like me, have started to collect a dinner service. A very happy customer
